Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our Surgical Center, equipped with the latest medical technology to support your clinical practice. You will work within a dynamic team of healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and support staff, all focused on delivering superior patient-centered care. Typical working hours are Monday to Friday, with opportunities for evening or weekend shifts as needed to address patient care requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations and thorough pain assessments to accurately diagnose the root causes of patient pain, taking into account physical, psychological, and social factors.
• Develop customized pain management treatment plans that may encompass a range of approaches — from pharmacological to interventional techniques — tailored to individual patient needs.
• Provide ongoing support for patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, focusing on enhancing functionality, reducing pain severity, and improving overall quality of life.
• Manage acute pain associated with injuries, surgeries, or procedures, employing evidence-based practices to ensure patient comfort and swift recovery.
• Prescribe and manage pain-relief medications while monitoring for effectiveness and potential side effects, adapting treatments as necessary based on patient feedback and clinical results.
• Perform and supervise interventional pain management procedures, including nerve blocks and epidural injections, while ensuring best practices are adhered to enhance patient safety and treatment efficacy.
• Educate patients on effective pain management strategies, including self-care techniques and lifestyle modifications that foster active participation in their treatment process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), ensuring comprehensive documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and medical histories.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population suffering from various pain-related conditions, ranging from chronic illnesses to acute injury recovery. Your empathetic approach will help build trust and rapport with patients as you guide them through their pain management journey, emphasizing their active role in treatment adherence and healthy lifestyle choices.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active state medical license in good standing, with board certification preferred in Pain Medicine or a related specialty.
• Completed residency training with a focus on pain management is highly valued.
• Strong clinical proficiency and expertise in the latest pain management practices and methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective patient interactions.
• Display qualities of compassion and empathy while maintaining a patient-centered approach to care.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure compliance and efficiency in documentation.

Preferred Experience

While the primary qualifications focus on education and licensure, experience in pain management settings, as well as participation in interventional procedures, is strongly preferred. Compensation and Benefits
