Work Environment

The successful Physician Assistant will work onsite in our hospital-affiliated urgent care center, delivering care in a fast-paced, supportive environment. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with hours primarily focused around the 5:00 PM shift, totaling 40 hours per week. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations and meticulously review medical histories to inform clinical decision-making.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies, to accurately assess patient conditions.
• Diagnose and effectively manage a range of acute health issues, including infections, injuries, and other urgent medical concerns.
• Create and implement comprehensive treatment plans addressing chronic conditions and follow up on patient progress.
• Prescribe medications when necessary and monitor their efficacy and safety in relation to patient health.
• Document all patient encounters, test results, and treatment plans in our electronic health record system to maintain accurate clinical records.
• Educate patients and their families on preventive health measures, disease management, and wellness strategies.
• Actively promote health literacy within the community by participating in outreach programs and health education initiatives.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical expertise and stay abreast of the latest advancements in urgent care medicine.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• A valid Physician Assistant license in the state of Texas (PA-C) and a DEA number.

Compensation and Benefits
