Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage pre-operative and post-operative liver and abdominal transplant patients, taking the lead role in their care during their surgical journey.
• Conduct comprehensive histories and perform thorough physical examinations, skillfully distinguishing between normal and abnormal clinical findings.
• Order, perform, and interpret essential diagnostic studies, utilizing data to inform clinical decision-making.
• Administer, order, and prescribe medications in compliance with protocols and under appropriate supervision when applicable.
• Coordinate inpatient and outpatient services, ensuring seamless transitions of care and understanding of patient needs.
• Provide vital patient education and counseling services, helping individuals understand their treatment plans and recovery processes.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient throughput, focusing on efficient discharge planning and rehabilitation alignment.
• Participate actively in surgical assistance during transplant procedures, validating your skills and promoting surgical excellence.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited physician assistant program is required.

Compensation and Benefits

The Surgical Physician Assistant position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 160,000 to 200,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
