Work Environment

This position is onsite at our Surgical Center, located in the vibrant city of Tucson, Arizona. Our facility features advanced medical technologies and a welcoming atmosphere designed for both patient comfort and team collaboration. As a full-time employee, you will work Monday to Friday, with your shifts beginning at 5:00 p.m., ensuring a work-life balance while catering to urgent care needs outside of regular hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical exams to evaluate patients' urgent health concerns.
• Order, interpret, and explain diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies, enabling accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plans.
• Diagnose and manage a range of acute illnesses and injuries, from minor trauma to infections, ensuring patients receive immediate and appropriate care.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for chronic conditions, monitoring progress and adjusting plans based on patient responses.
• Prescribe medications responsibly and track their outcomes, maintaining a clear communication channel with patients about potential side effects and efficacy.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in a clear and organized manner, ensuring compliance with health regulations and standards.
• Educate patients and their families on preventive health measures, including vaccination, screenings, and lifestyle changes that promote holistic well-being.
• Engage in continuous learning and attend relevant training sessions to stay updated on best practices and current healthcare trends.
• Contribute to the overall health and wellness initiatives in our community by collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals to improve health literacy.

The Physician Assistant will primarily serve patients of various backgrounds and age groups seeking immediate care for acute illnesses and injuries. Our facility assists individuals and families in the Tucson area, emphasizing preventative care, health education, and community engagement to foster overall health. Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current state license and a passing score on the national certifying exam are required to practice as a Physician Assistant.
• Prior experience in an urgent care, emergency room, or outpatient primary care setting is preferred, demonstrating your capability in acute healthcare delivery.
• Strong foundation in medical knowledge including primary and urgent care methodologies.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with diverse patient populations and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to demonstrate patience and professionalism in high-pressure scenarios while delivering optimal patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation and streamlined patient management.
• Bilingual skills are advantageous, enhancing communication with a broader patient demographic.

Compensation and Benefits
