Key Responsibilities

As a Dermatology Physician Assistant, you will be instrumental in providing comprehensive healthcare services to our patients. Your specific responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough physical exams and health assessments tailored to dermatological health.
• Diagnosing and treating both acute and chronic skin conditions, ensuring effective management of patients' health.
• Prescribing medications and other treatments as needed, while adhering to best practices and regulatory guidelines.
• Educating patients on disease prevention, skincare regimens, and healthy lifestyle choices, promoting overall well-being.
• Collaborating with dermatologists and other healthcare professionals to devise effective treatment plans and coordinate patient care.
• Managing ongoing patient care, including coordinating referrals to specialists and conducting follow-up appointments.
• Maintaining meticulous medical records and documentation, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing insights during patient satisfaction surveys.
• Staying informed on the latest advancements in dermatology, ensuring our practice remains at the forefront of medical innovation.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population ranging from pediatric to geriatric individuals, as we provide care for a variety of skin conditions including eczema, psoriasis, acne, and skin cancers. This role not only requires proficient clinical skills but also a compassionate approach to patient care, enhancing both patient outcomes and satisfaction within our practice.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Physician Assistant license in the state of Delaware.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies is required, with a preference for a Master's Degree.
• PA-C certification is mandatory.
• A DEA number is essential for prescribing medications.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply but it is not a requirement.
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records systems.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in dermatology is preferred; however, training will be provided to new candidates.
• Experience managing common dermatological treatments and conditions, including the ability to evaluate symptoms and devise effective treatment strategies.
• Strong skills in counseling patients regarding their conditions, treatment plans, and lifestyle modifications.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 140,000 to 160,000, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a robust benefits package that includes:
