Work Environment

This full-time position operates onsite at our Surgical Center, where you will work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The work environment is dynamic, focusing on the efficient management of a busy clinic that accommodates both routine and specialized cases. You will collaborate closely with a team of surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care in a supportive atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostics to determine pain management strategies, including physical examinations and patient histories.
• Design and implement treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs, utilizing a broad array of pain management techniques and therapies.
• Collaborate with case management to facilitate effective discharge planning, ensuring that patients receive appropriate follow-up care and resources post-treatment.
• Actively participate in multi-disciplinary consultations, engaging with other specialists to enhance patient care and coordination.
• Manage referrals from physicians, providing consultations as needed and integrating information from various healthcare providers into patient care strategies.
• Ensure compliance with insurance requirements by maintaining accurate documentation and effectively managing appeals for any claim denials.
• Engage in both inpatient and outpatient consultations, participating in on-call schedules to support patient needs as they arise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily serve a diverse patient population dealing with chronic and acute pain, including individuals with post-surgical pain, arthritis, fibromyalgia, and more. Our patients benefit from a holistic approach to pain management that emphasizes education, support, and active recovery strategies.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• An active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience, preferably within a pain management or surgical context.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills that enable effective patient interactions and team collaborations.
• A strong work ethic with a commitment to a team-oriented, performance-driven healthcare environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in pain management specific practices, including interventional techniques and patient education regarding pain management therapies.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $180,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
