Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough evaluations of patients suffering from chronic pain conditions, which includes detailed reviews of medical histories, thorough physical examinations, and pain level assessments to establish a clear understanding of patient needs.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with our expert team of physicians and specialists to create individualized pain management plans. This may involve integrating approaches such as medication management, referral to physical therapy, and the implementation of interventional procedures to achieve optimal results.
• Patient Education: Empower patients by providing comprehensive education about their conditions and treatment options, along with effective pain management techniques. Encourage active participation in their care to foster greater engagement in their treatment journey.
• Procedural Assistance: Assist during specialized pain management procedures including but not limited to epidural injections, nerve blocks, and joint injections. Your role will ensure both patient comfort and safety, enhancing the overall procedural experience.
• Follow-up Care: Monitor and evaluate patient progress post-treatment, making necessary adjustments to management plans based on ongoing assessments and patient feedback. Provide continuous support and counseling to guide patients through their recovery processes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be working primarily with individuals experiencing chronic pain—a physically and emotionally challenging condition that significantly impacts their daily lives. Our patients often seek relief from conditions such as back pain, joint pain, headaches, and neuropathic pain. The emphasis on compassionate care is crucial, as many patients may be experiencing emotional distress alongside physical ailments.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a similar accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant, allowing you to practice in Texas.
• Certification in Pain Management or a related specialty is highly preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to patient care, with the ability to communicate effectively with both patients and colleagues.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 160,000 annually, reflective of experience and specialization.
