Key Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: You will be responsible for conducting detailed evaluations of patients presenting with various chronic pain conditions. This includes reviewing comprehensive medical histories, performing thorough physical examinations, and utilizing pain assessment tools to quantify pain levels.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with our board-certified physicians and specialists to create individualized pain management plans. Incorporate a blend of pharmacological treatments, physical therapy, and interventional procedures tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Patient Education: Provide clear and empathetic guidance to patients regarding their conditions and care strategies. You will educate them on treatment options, pain management techniques, and lifestyle adjustments to enhance their quality of life.
• Procedural Assistance: Assist in various minimally invasive pain management procedures such as epidural injections, joint injections, and nerve blocks, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
• Follow-up Care: Monitor patient progress during regular follow-up appointments, adapt treatment plans as needed, and provide ongoing emotional and psychological support to assist in their recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Physician Assistant will interact closely with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on adults suffering from chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to, neuropathic pain, arthritis, and fibromyalgia. The ideal candidate will approach care with sensitivity and an understanding of the complex physical and emotional challenges faced by patients in this demographic.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a similar accredited program.
• Current Physician Assistant licensure in the state of Florida.
• Certification in Pain Management or a related specialty is highly preferred.
• Strong commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in pain management or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with pain assessment and management techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 160,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes:
