Balance Healing Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our dynamic team in Long Beach, California. Work Environment

You will be working onsite in our state-of-the-art surgical center, which is equipped with the latest medical technology to ensure optimal patient care. Our team environment is supportive, allowing for close collaboration among medical staff while prioritizing a work-life balance that encourages personal well-being. This full-time position allows you to work approximately 30 hours a week, primarily from Monday to Thursday, while ensuring that our patients receive uninterrupted care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient histories and physical assessments to ensure comprehensive understanding and management of health conditions.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic procedures to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Document and provide direct treatment, including medication management and procedural interventions, following established guidelines.
• Offer detailed counseling and education to patients and their families on treatment options, preventative health measures, and community resources available to them.
• Perform regular preventative health assessments, including screenings and immunizations, contributing to proactive health management.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients encompass a diverse demographic, with a range of behavioral and mental health needs. You will work collaboratively in a team environment to develop tailored treatment plans that address both the psychological and physical aspects of their health. Your role will ensure that our patients receive holistic care that respects their unique identities and backgrounds while complying with the guidelines established by our center.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• A licensed Physician Assistant credentialed by the State of California.
• A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• A Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies is preferred, signifying a commitment to advanced knowledge in the field.
• A minimum of one year of relevant clinical experience is advantageous; however, new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience within behavioral health settings is highly desirable, as it provides a deeper understanding of our patients' distinctive needs.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to streamline workflow and enhance patient documentation.
• Experience in multidisciplinary team environments, contributing effectively to comprehensive patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to 140,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
