Work Environment

This position is onsite at our hospital facility located in vibrant Portland, Oregon, known for its diverse culture and rich community life. The work setting is collaborative and fast-paced, involving close cooperation with a team of five experienced physicians and five nurse practitioners. Your schedule involves a standard 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday, ending at a convenient 5:00 PM, allowing a work-life balance while providing comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations of patients and review their medical histories to assess health concerns.
• Order and interpret various diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and imaging, to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose health conditions and develop tailored treatment plans for both chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapeutic interventions, monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment as necessary.
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Inform and educate patients about their health conditions, medications, and preventive health measures.
• Guide patients and their families on strategies for disease prevention and healthy living.
• Oversee and manage patients' overall health, making referrals to specialists as required.
• Participate in ongoing clinical education, contributing to research and sharing newfound knowledge with colleagues.

Our physician assistants serve a diverse patient population, including children, adults, and seniors, focusing on a wide range of health issues from routine check-ups to more complex medical conditions. You will directly impact patient outcomes by fostering a supportive environment that encourages health-seeking behaviors and lifestyle changes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree, with a Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies preferred.
• A current California State Physician Assistant license and PA-C certification are required.
• Must have a valid DEA number and be familiar with state and federal regulations regarding healthcare.
• Excellent communication skills with a collaborative spirit in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and patience while interacting with diverse patient populations.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and clinical excellence.

Preferred Experience

• Professional experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical, hospital, ER, or urgent care setting.
• Expertise in primary care, acute care, and chronic disease management.
• Prior exposure to behavioral health practice is highly valued.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 140,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition to the salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including:
