Work Environment

This full-time position operates onsite at a busy hospital setting, where you will have access to modern medical technologies and resources that enhance patient care. The working hours are Monday through Friday with a 5:00 PM shift, equating to a standard 40-hour work week. You will play a pivotal role alongside physicians, nurses, and specialists, ensuring continuity of care and optimal outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical examinations for patients and thoroughly review their medical histories to inform clinical decisions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and X-rays, to accurately assess and diagnose various health conditions.
• Formulate tailored treatment plans addressing both chronic and acute illnesses within the scope of family medicine.
• Prescribe appropriate medications and continuously monitor patient responses to ensure the effectiveness of treatment.
• Maintain precise patient records through electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring that documentation is organized and up-to-date.
• Provide education to patients and families about health issues, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices, enhancing their understanding and engagement in their care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patient care effectively and facilitate transitions of care, including daily rounds.
• Promote preventative care strategies and contribute to public health initiatives within the community.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program is required.
• Current certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and state licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Physician Assistant in a family health clinic, hospital, or similar healthcare setting.
• A strong foundation in family medicine and a demonstrated track record in primary care practice.

• Must possess a current DEA number for prescribing medications.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this Physician Assistant position ranges from $150,000 to $180,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
