Key Responsibilities

• Responding swiftly to trauma alerts to assess and stabilize patients in critical condition.
• Performing thorough initial evaluations to determine the severity of injuries and illnesses.
• Assisting in life-saving resuscitation efforts and immediate interventions, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by supervising physicians.
• Coordinating care with the trauma team to ensure timely and efficient patient management.
• Conducting comprehensive physical examinations, interpreting diagnostic results, and documenting findings in the electronic health record.
• Participating in invasive procedures under supervision, including wound management and the application of trauma-specific techniques.
• Providing postoperative care and educating patients and families regarding trauma care and recovery plans.
• Monitoring pain and other symptoms, ensuring continual patient comfort and advocating for their needs.
• Following established infection control and safety protocols in our trauma care settings.
• Engaging in continuous professional development opportunities to enhance skills in emergency medicine and trauma care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on managing critically injured and acutely ill patients who enter our emergency department. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field, followed by graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in Pennsylvania.
• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Strong knowledge of trauma assessment and stabilization protocols relevant to emergency medicine.
• Excellent clinical skills with a keen ability for critical thinking and decision-making under pressure.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
