Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations that incorporate detailed medical histories, lifestyle considerations, and existing health conditions.
• Diagnose a range of foot and ankle conditions, including but not limited to deformities, injuries, and chronic disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that may involve both conservative and surgical interventions based on patient assessments.
• Prescribe and recommend orthotic devices, braces, and physical therapy as part of a holistic approach to enhance mobility and patient comfort.
• Perform surgical interventions, including bunion surgeries, hammertoe corrections, and procedures for ingrown toenails.
• Administer necessary injections and manage wound care protocols as needed for optimal recovery.
• Coordinate with orthopedic surgeons, primary care physicians, and physical therapists to foster comprehensive treatment plans that address all aspects of a patient’s health.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to share insights on patient progress and treatment efficacy.
• Educate patients on preventive care, self-care practices, and the importance of regular podiatric evaluations.
• Clearly explain various treatment options, including potential risks and expected outcomes, to empower patients in their care decisions.
• Regularly assess patient responses to treatments, making necessary adjustments to maximize treatment effectiveness.
• Document all patient interactions, assessments, treatment plans, and follow-up notes accurately in our electronic health records (EHR).
• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying abreast of advancements in podiatric medicine through continual education, workshops, and conferences.
• Uphold ethical standards and adhere to all regulatory guidelines governing podiatric practice.

Qualifications

Compensation and Benefits
