Job Description

Homestead Village is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to work in one of our skilled nursing households. Nurses with exceptional skills, a passion for serving older adults and excitement for leading a small team of caregivers would be a great fit for this position.  

Location - The Apostle Center for Care, 58-bed Skilled Nursing Facility 

Base Pay: Determined based upon years licensed; Newly licensed nurse, with less than a year experience start at $26.00; plus applicable shift & weekend differentials.

Shift/Weekend Differentials:

  • $1.50 additional from 3:00pm-11:00pm
  • $0.75 additional from 11:00pm-7:00am 
  • $1.25 additional on Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) 

Qualifications:

  • Currently licensed in the Commonwealth of PA as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Minimum of three years as an LPN
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience
  • Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred
  • Familiarity with SNF Regulations
  • Work cooperatively with team members & Compassionately with residents
  • Ability to actively direct subordinates in a professional & supportive manner
  • Able to perform the essential job functions of the job description.

Essential Job Responsibilities (the following is an overview of the responsibilities of the position and should not be considered all inclusive):

  1. Establish respectful, warm relationship with residents, perform rounds.
  2. Perform all aspects of resident care in accordance with nursing practices & policies. Complete all documentation as required.
  3. Communicates readily with team members & RN Nurse Leaders.
  4. Administer medications & perform treatments according to policy, physician’s orders, and federal & state guidelines.
  5. Observe and report changes in residents’ condition immediately.
  6. Assist in training, supervising, and evaluating assigned staff, along with participation in orientation of new employees.
  7. Assist with emergency response campus-wide, as needed.
  8. Attend all required staff meetings and complete monthly education on Relias by dates due.
  9. Always conduct self in a positive and professional manner.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
