Hiring! Full-time Physical Therapist Assistant in Ouray, Colorado

Our team is currently looking for a Physical Therapist Assistant to help in our outpatient practice. The ideal candidate is a skilled and well-trained professional who can work under the direction and supervision of physical therapists.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 per year + benefits

Patient Volume: 1-2 patients per hour

Job Duties:

• Help the physical therapist conduct patient evaluations by taking measurements, observing movement patterns, and documenting findings 
• Observe patients during therapy sessions, documenting progress, and reporting any changes to the physical therapist 
• Assist patients with the use of therapeutic equipment like walkers, crutches, and exercise machines 
• Maintain open communication with the physical therapist, other healthcare professionals, and patients regarding treatment plans and progress 
• Record patient information, including progress notes, treatment details, and any observed changes 
• Stay updated with the latest physical therapy practices and techniques through continuing education 

 

Requirements:

• Graduated from a physical therapist assistant curriculum 
• Current and active Colorado PTA license
• Previous experience working directly with patients in an orthopedic outpatient setting
• Excellent analytical skills, communication skills, and observational skills
• Current knowledge of treatment practices
