Work Environment

This position is wholly onsite, allowing for immediate collaboration with physicians and healthcare staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct various diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and mammograms, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety protocols.
• Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment, regularly checking for functionality to produce clear and clinically relevant images.
• Prepare patients for examinations, discussing procedures, positioning them accurately, and addressing concerns to help alleviate anxiety.
• Perform quality checks on images and assess the need for additional views, collaborating with radiologists to ensure comprehensive evaluations.
• Document patient information and imaging results accurately within the healthcare management system, observing HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality.
• Engage in continuous education and training to stay current with industry advancements in radiologic technology and patient care practices.
• Support patients holistically by integrating compassion and understanding during their imaging experiences.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Radiologic Technologist will interact primarily with diverse patient populations in Hialeah and the surrounding communities, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Understanding the unique needs and concerns of these groups is essential for delivering tailored care experiences. You will work closely with individuals who may experience anxiety or discomfort during imaging procedures, requiring empathy and exceptional communication skills.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or a closely related field is required.
• Current registration and certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Active licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of Florida.
• Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to work collaboratively within our healthcare team.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to document patient care accurately.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience in a clinical or diagnostic imaging setting, enhancing technical proficiency and patient management skills.

Compensation and Benefits
