Work Environment

The Radiologic Technologist position is based onsite at our Diagnostic Imaging Center in Washington, D.C. You will be collaborating closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced setting. We have a flexible weekly schedule that includes weekdays and occasional weekends, ensuring comprehensive coverage to meet the needs of our patients. Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of radiographic procedures, including X-rays and other imaging modalities, ensuring accurate imaging results.
• Implement and maintain high standards of radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and visitors.
• Evaluate the technical quality of radiographs, making adjustments as necessary to ensure optimal imaging results.
• Provide compassionate patient care throughout the imaging process, ensuring patients feel comfortable and informed.
• Quickly assess patient conditions that may require immediate clinical intervention, including the capacity to initiate life support measures if necessary.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and adhere to all applicable privacy regulations and policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At UltraScan Imaging, our patient population is diverse, encompassing individuals from various age groups and backgrounds. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with patients undergoing imaging for a wide range of medical conditions, including musculoskeletal disorders, internal organ evaluations, and conditions requiring urgent care. Your role as a Radiologic Technologist will be critical in ensuring a positive experience for our patients while maintaining the highest standards of quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an AMA-accredited Radiography Program or a similar accredited program.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or an equivalent credential.
• A valid license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the state of Washington.
• Current CPR certification to ensure readiness during patient emergencies.
• Proficiency in using healthcare information systems and software, such as MediTech and Halogen, for efficient administrative and clinical workflows.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one year of experience in a clinical radiology setting is preferred.
• Experience with digital imaging technologies and interpretation of radiographic images is highly beneficial.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and colleagues.
