Key Responsibilities

• Conduct a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and mammograms, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Calibrate and maintain imaging equipment to deliver precise and high-quality diagnostic images, addressing any technical issues as they arise.
• Prepare patients for their imaging sessions by explaining procedures and addressing any concerns to ensure their comfort and safety throughout the process.
• Critically review and interpret imaging results, determining the necessity for additional runs or adjustments to capture the best possible diagnostic information.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare team members to support accurate and timely diagnoses based on imaging findings.
• Maintain meticulous patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring that all documentation reflects accurate imaging results and patient interactions.
• Engage in ongoing education related to emerging technologies and methodologies in radiology to continuously improve patient care and operational effectiveness.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a closely related field, equipping you with a robust understanding of diagnostic imaging principles and patient care practices.
• Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), demonstrating your commitment to maintaining high professional standards.
• A valid state license to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in Virginia, ensuring compliance with state regulations.

Preferred Experience
