Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-time Radiologic Technologist (Radiographer) to join our team at Berwick Technology Lab, located in Edison, New Jersey. This role plays a crucial part in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services that contribute to accurate diagnoses and enhanced patient care.

Work Environment

The successful candidate will work onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital facility in Edison, NJ. The position requires flexibility to support an evening shift schedule from Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends and on-call responsibilities as needed. Our facility is designed to foster teamwork and collaboration among healthcare professionals, ensuring optimal patient care and departmental efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform various diagnostic imaging techniques, including X-ray, portable imaging, and fluoroscopy in accordance with the protocols established by our expert radiologists.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort by maintaining constant engagement with patients during examinations, showing empathy and professionalism.
• Produce high-quality radiographs necessary for precise diagnostic interpretation, demonstrating technical proficiency and attention to detail.
• Select appropriate technical factors and utilize diagnostic equipment effectively to achieve optimal imaging results 100% of the time.
• Complete examinations within defined productivity standards, efficiently managing time while ensuring quality and accuracy.
• Conduct the identification, development, and digitization of patient films, maintaining the highest standards of patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to safety protocols, protecting patients, colleagues, and oneself from unnecessary radiation exposure.
• Maintain accurate records of all exams performed, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Engage in continuous professional development and participate in the in-service training programs available for our Radiology Complex.
• Collaborate with the Lead Technologist to address staffing, workflow challenges, and other operational issues as they arise.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is providing care to pediatric patients and their families, ensuring that each child's unique needs are met in a compassionate and understanding manner. By employing advanced imaging technologies and methods, we contribute to timely and accurate diagnoses, significantly impacting the treatment plans and overall health outcomes for our young patients.

Qualifications

• Required Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the radiologic field is mandatory.
• All candidates must be certified as a Radiologic Technologist (CRT-Radiographer) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required within 90 days of employment.
• Strong knowledge of and ability to adhere to radiation safety procedures.
• Exceptional mathematical skills with a solid understanding of algebra.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear interactions with patients and the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in a pediatric healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with advanced imaging technologies and systems.
• Proficient understanding of the Radiology Information System (RIS) to efficiently maintain electronic records and coordinate patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
