Work Environment

Located in the vibrant city of Seattle, our surgical center offers a collaborative and supportive environment for all staff. The position is onsite, involving a Monday to Friday schedule with evening shifts and rotating weekends/call responsibilities. Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic imaging techniques, ensuring compliance with established protocols set forth by the radiologist. This includes utilizing modern diagnostic equipment such as c-arms and portable imaging devices.
• Maintain a high standard of patient care by ensuring constant attention to patients undergoing examinations and providing a comforting and safe environment.
• Generate high-quality radiographs suitable for diagnostic interpretation, demonstrating technical proficiency in selecting appropriate factors and devices.
• Accurately identify and manage patient information, ensuring proper identification on images and maintaining thorough records of all exams.
• Develop and digitize patient films utilizing automated processing, ensuring optimal imaging quality and efficient workflow.
• Adhere to established safety protocols, providing necessary protection to patients, staff, and oneself during imaging procedures.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by participating in in-service programs and promoting staff advancement opportunities.
• Effectively communicate with team members and refer any unresolved issues to the Lead Technologist, reinforcing a smooth operational flow within the department.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center primarily cares for children and families, making it crucial for our Radiologic Technologists to possess not only technical skills but also compassion and understanding. Providing a supportive atmosphere goes a long way in alleviating the anxieties of young patients and their guardians during imaging procedures.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant radiology experience is essential to ensure proficiency in techniques and patient care.
• Must hold a certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiographer upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required within the first 90 days of employment.
• Strong math skills, a working knowledge of algebra, and effective oral and written communication skills are critical for success in this role.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with advanced imaging technologies and processes will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and compliance protocols is highly desired.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this role ranges from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer competitive pay coupled with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
