Work Environment

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist will work onsite at our state-of-the-art Surgical Center, where collaboration, precision, and patient-focused care are at the heart of daily operations. The work setting is dynamic and fast-paced, requiring the technologist to coordinate effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure efficient workflow and superior patient care. Key Responsibilities

• Operates complex radiographic equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, adhering to the protocols and guidelines established by industry standards and the organization.
• Conducts thorough patient assessments, including obtaining detailed medical histories and identifying age-specific needs to ensure tailored care.
• Implements proper radiation safety measures, including the application of shielding techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Maintains equipment and promptly reports any malfunctions to enhance patient safety and care quality.
• Handles administrative duties within the Radiology department, such as managing patient records and scheduling appointments effectively.
• Participates in continuous education efforts and engages in professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in radiology technology.
• Assists radiologists during specialized diagnostic procedures and contributes to a smooth workflow in the imaging department.
• Documents any changes in patient conditions and ensures compliance with all safety regulations and procedures.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, you will interface with a diverse patient population, including individuals of various ages and backgrounds. Your role is pivotal in ensuring patient comfort and safety, assessing their specific needs, and providing information throughout the imaging process. By facilitating accurate diagnoses through quality imaging, you significantly impact patient care and outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited program is required.
• Current certification by the American Registry of Radiographic Technologists (ARRT) or an equivalent certification demonstrating competency in radiography.
• A valid state licensure to operate as a Radiologic Technologist in Washington.
• Current CPR certification is essential for ensuring patient safety.
• Proficient computer skills to navigate healthcare software systems such as MediTech, Halogen, and Relias, ensuring the efficient management of patient data and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• At least 1 year of experience in a clinical setting as a Radiologic Technologist, with a proven ability to perform a range of imaging procedures effectively.
• Experience in an outpatient surgical center or similar healthcare environment is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
