Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial assessments for patients to ascertain their medical needs and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop customized care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments while closely monitoring their effectiveness and reporting any changes to physicians promptly.
• Accurately record and monitor patients’ vital signs, symptoms, and medical histories to assess their ongoing progress and adapt care plans as necessary.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and health management strategies to ensure understanding and adherence.
• Assist physicians during various medical procedures and surgeries by preparing necessary instruments, ensuring patient safety, and providing emotional support.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, applying critical thinking and clinical expertise to provide lifesaving assistance and stabilize patients.
• Document patient care activities in accordance with hospital policies, ensuring all medical records are accurate and facilitate continuity of care.

In your role as a Registered Nurse at Valley Wide Medical Center, you will work with a diverse patient demographic that includes individuals from various backgrounds and health conditions. Qualifications

• A current and active Registered Nurse license with eligibility to practice nursing in the state of Nevada.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, although applicants with an Associate's degree and significant relevant experience may be considered.
• A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital or clinical setting is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster rapport with patients, families, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Availability to work flexible schedules that may include weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts to meet the demands of patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in various hospital departments such as emergency, ICU, or surgical units is highly valued.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and computerized documentation will be advantageous.
• Continued education and training in specialized nursing practices such as wound care, palliative care, or pediatric nursing is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $160,000 annually, contingent on experience and qualifications.
