Position Overview

Recover Easy is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our onsite Hospice Center located in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a full-time position designed for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional care to patients at the end of their life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough initial patient assessments, evaluating mental, emotional, and physical health to develop individualized care plans in partnership with an interdisciplinary team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by attending physicians, while closely monitoring patient responses to ensure effective symptom management.
• Regularly monitor and accurately document patients' vital signs, symptoms, and changes in medical history using our electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Provide education to patients and their families regarding care plans, medications, and end-of-life options, empowering them to make informed decisions during this critical period.
• Assist physicians during various medical procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies by providing immediate care and support to patients in distress.
• Thoroughly document all patient interactions and changes in condition to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulatory standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on patients in the terminal stages of illness, where comfort and quality of life take precedence over curative measures. Patients often have complex needs involving physical, emotional, and psychosocial challenges. Working closely with families is integral to our approach, as we strive to alleviate anxiety and enhance communication about care preferences and end-of-life options.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, reflecting your dedication to high-quality healthcare standards.
• At least one year of nursing experience in a clinical or hospital setting, with a preference for experience in hospice or palliative care.
• Exceptional communication skills, allowing you to build strong rapport with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced and emotionally demanding environment, while managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts as part of our commitment to around-the-clock patient care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in hospice care, oncology, or geriatric nursing is beneficial.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for patient documentation and care coordination.
• Certification in hospice and palliative nursing (CHPN) or similar credentials will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $160,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
