Job Overview:
We are hiring experienced Emergency Department (ED) RNs for a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital in Utica, NY. Candidates must have strong trauma and critical care experience, including pediatrics.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide care for patients (newborn to geriatric) in a busy ED
Handle critical cases: Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, Respiratory Failure
Administer drips (pressors, sedation, cardiac meds, etc.)
Work with advanced equipment (Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun)
Document using EPIC EMR
Float as needed (charge experience preferred)
Unit Details:
64 Beds (Triage, Acute, Trauma, CDU, Psych)
High-acuity emergency environment
Requirements:
2+ years ED experience REQUIRED (with Peds)
Travel experience REQUIRED
Active NY RN License (NURSYS verified)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (AHA required)
EPIC experience REQUIRED
Must live 75+ miles away (locals accepted at local rate)
Valid Driver’s License (matching address)
