Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care and clinical services to clients in accordance with physician orders, nursing standards, and organizational policies.
- Complete nursing assessments, reassessments, and related clinical documentation for admissions and ongoing treatment needs.
- Administer medications and monitor medication effectiveness, side effects, and client response to treatment.
- Monitor and implement withdrawal management protocols, including completion of COWS, CIWA, and other clinical assessment tools as applicable.
- Provide medication education, health education, and nursing support to clients and families as appropriate.
- Coordinate and support physicians, nurse practitioners, and other medical providers during assessments, medication management appointments, and treatment planning activities.
- Monitor client health status and communicate significant clinical findings, concerns, and changes in condition to appropriate treatment team members.
- Provide guidance and support to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) regarding client care assignments and nursing activities as appropriate.
- Maintain medical equipment, medication storage areas, and clinical supplies in accordance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary treatment team members to support continuity of care and treatment planning.
- Collaborate with treatment team members to support client care, communication, and continuity of services.
- Must exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality with regard to all company information.
- Completion of all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
Licensure, Education, & Experience:
- Current RN license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Current CPR, AED and First Aid
