Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments by taking comprehensive histories and accurately documenting vital signs to provide baseline data for care plans.
• Assist with daily triage and address sick calls, performing minor medical and surgical procedures as needed, and participating in patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Utilize clinical judgment to initiate and meticulously document prescribed protocol agreements for patient care, ensuring adherence to established standards.
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies within the facility, displaying exceptional clinical acumen and confidence under pressure.
• Mentor and evaluate the performance of licensed practical/vocational nurses, fostering a collaborative learning environment while providing ongoing support.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Registered Nurse at Shepherd Health Center, you will provide care for a diverse patient population, primarily consisting of individuals recovering from surgical procedures, managing chronic illnesses, or requiring rehabilitation after hospitalization. Qualifications

• A valid and current RN licensure in North Carolina, verifying compliance with state regulations.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are preferred.
• Completion of a telemetry course certification or equivalent practical experience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) is strongly preferred, while an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN) will be considered.

Preferred Experience

We seek candidates with a minimum of two years of experience in a nursing role, ideally within a skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous for efficient documentation and patient management.
