HVCH is a 25-bed critical access hospital (CAH) with a full-service Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and Surgical Services, as well as many Outpatient Clinics and Services, and a Rural Health Clinic providing Family and Pediatric care services. We have over 350 employees who serve the residents and visitors of beautiful Logan and Hocking Hills, Ohio. We are affiliated with OSU Wexner Medical Center and part of the Ohio State Health Network.

Your role as A RN House Supervisor

As a PRN/Contingent RN House Supervisor at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, you can expect to be responsible for personnel, management, and coordination of nursing service activities, collaborating closely with a talented team of healthcare professionals.

To thrive as an RN House Supervisor at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, you'll need a robust skill set and a passion for patient care principles will enhance your ability to connect with patients and provide compassionate, customer-centric care.

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio, active and in good standing.
  • Minimum two years post-graduate acute care hospital experience preferred.
  • Minimum two years medical-surgical nursing experience preferred.
  • Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
  • Empathy for the needs of patients.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate through spoken and written English.
  • Detail oriented, with ability to prioritize and multitask.
  • Ability to apply sound judgment with clinical skills for optimal patient care.
  • Demonstrates flexibility by accepting and supporting changes in work assignments as related to department and patient needs.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Proficient in working with all ages and patient populations.
  • Knowledge of appropriate equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective patient outcomes.
  • Current ACLS, CPR, PALS - American Heart Association
