Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed ultrasound examinations for patients, particularly focusing on vascular studies by utilizing advanced imaging techniques.
• Ensure all patient data is accurately recorded and maintained in compliance with HIPAA regulations, facilitating seamless communication within the healthcare team.
• Interact directly with patients to explain procedures clearly, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the testing process.
• Maintain ultrasound equipment by regularly conducting quality assurance checks and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with physicians to interpret results and provide comprehensive data that assists in timely decision making for patient treatment plans.
• Educate patients on preparation protocols and follow-up measures to enhance patient care continuity and satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be engaging with a diverse patient population, including individuals with a variety of vascular conditions, requiring a tailored approach to care. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field is required.
• Successful completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound Technology.
• Active certification and registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• State licensure to practice as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• Proficient in using ultrasound equipment and plethysmography, with excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
• Ability to lift and assist patients, as well as stand and walk for extended periods during examination procedures.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards, MSDS protocols, and blood-borne pathogen safety practices.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of one-year experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, specifically in vascular imaging.
• Experience in a fast-paced clinical setting where multi-tasking and adaptability are crucial.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management systems.

Compensation and Benefits
