Position Overview

First Choice Ultrasound is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Vascular Sonographer to join our exceptional team at our Diagnostic Imaging Center located in Kent, Washington. In this full-time, onsite role, you will be instrumental in performing comprehensive vascular ultrasound examinations that support accurate diagnostics and patient health. You will utilize your clinical expertise and state-of-the-art ultrasound technology to provide critical information to our healthcare providers and assist in delivering the highest standard of care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic vascular ultrasound procedures including, but not limited to, arterial and venous doppler exams, and other related vascular assessments with a focus on delivering precise and reproducible results.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process in detail, assessing any potential concerns, and providing emotional support to ensure patient comfort and well-being throughout the imaging experience.
• Utilize diagnostic imaging equipment effectively, making necessary adjustments to settings for optimal image quality and ensuring that all equipment is functioning correctly through regular maintenance checks.
• Analyze ultrasound images, interpret findings, and identify any abnormalities that may require follow-up exams or additional diagnostic testing, collaborating with physicians to facilitate timely decision-making.
• Accurately document patient information and imaging findings while strictly adhering to HIPAA regulations to uphold patient privacy and confidentiality.
• Engage in ongoing education about advancements in ultrasound technology and diagnostic techniques to enhance patient care continuously.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Registered Vascular Sonographer, you will primarily serve a diverse patient population that includes individuals of all ages requiring vascular assessments. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
• Active registration and certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Ultrasound Technologist.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with patients and collaborate with medical staff.
• Proficient in managing multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and composure.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate results and maintain thorough medical records.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a vascular imaging role, with a solid understanding of anatomy, pathology, and relevant ultrasound techniques.
• Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for seamless patient data management.
• Completion of continuing education courses related to vascular sonography and patient care best practices.

Compensation and Benefits
