Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments: Evaluate clients' mental health concerns, strengths, and needs to inform treatment planning.
• Provide individual and group therapy: Utilize evidence-based treatment modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused brief therapy, and trauma-informed care tailored to the unique needs of clients during detox.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans: Collaborate with clients to set achievable goals, identify appropriate therapeutic interventions, and monitor progress throughout their journey.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams: Work closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care that addresses both mental and physical health needs.
• Engage in crisis intervention: Be prepared to assess risk, provide immediate support, and develop safety plans for clients facing acute situations.
• Facilitate psychoeducation and support groups: Lead sessions that empower clients by educating them on coping strategies, relapse prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Maintain accurate documentation: Keep thorough and timely records of client interactions and treatment progress, adhering to all ethical and legal standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals undergoing detoxification, many of whom may be dealing with co-occurring mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders. You will provide a listening ear and essential resources to help them navigate their recovery, fostering a sense of resilience and hope.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work: Must be obtained from an accredited program.
• Active LCSW License: Required and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Experience: Minimum of two years in a mental health or outpatient setting, particularly focused on substance abuse issues.
• Therapeutic knowledge: Familiarity with evidence-based approaches and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 100,000.
