Full-Time Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for Remote School-Based Support

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services to students, including assessments, individual therapy, group therapy, and family counseling, focusing on issues stemming from major mental illness and severe emotional disorders.
• Participate actively in team meetings to discuss client progress, share insights, and collaborate on integrated care plans.
• Conduct brief, evidence-based screenings and refer clients for more in-depth assessments when necessary.
• Develop comprehensive care plans that link clients and their families to appropriate services within the community.
• Monitor client progress through regular check-ins and documentation, ensuring timely completion of necessary reports.
• Utilize professional ethics and organizational guidelines to maintain a safe and trustworthy environment for clients.
• Provide crisis intervention as needed, ensuring that students in distress receive immediate support.
• Engage in on-call responsibilities during and after program hours as required, demonstrating commitment to client accessibility.

The LCSW position focuses on serving a diverse population of students in the Hempstead area who face significant psychological challenges. Qualifications

• A valid New York State license as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BSW) or a related field is essential; additional clinical qualifications are preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey complex information clearly and compassionately.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and practices tailored to children and adolescents.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working as a clinical social worker in a school setting or with children and adolescents facing mental health challenges is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
