Work Environment

This role is uniquely positioned to be conducted remotely, aligning with contemporary work practices while ensuring flexibility for our team members. In addition to the remote aspect, the work environment will allow for daily interactions with educational and healthcare providers. Your contributions will occur in a climate-controlled office setting equipped with the latest telehealth technology and tools necessary to facilitate virtual patient care and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine mental health needs, diagnoses, and appropriate interventions based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5).
• Develop individualized, culturally sensitive treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their families, integrating diverse perspectives and goal-oriented strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches to provide ongoing therapy, adapting interventions to meet the evolving needs of patients affected by cancer.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, treatment records, and reports using advanced technology to comply with regulatory standards and organizational policies.
• Engage in continuous progress evaluation, modifying treatment strategies as necessary to enhance patient care outcomes.
• Coordinate referrals and serve as a liaison among patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate comprehensive care networks.
• Foster an educational atmosphere by mentoring students, interns, and volunteers, as well as participating in peer review and clinical collaboration efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary client focus for this role involves individuals and families impacted by cancer. As an LICSW within a school-based program, you will provide vital mental health support that acknowledges the emotional and psychological challenges these patients face. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) is required.
• Possession of a current and valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) credential issued by the state of Massachusetts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms for optimal patient care delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Experience providing therapy to individuals coping with chronic illness, specifically cancer, is highly desirable.
• Working knowledge of both individual and family therapy modalities is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a school or educational setting can enhance interaction with students and families in crisis.

Compensation and Benefits
