Work Environment

This position will be primarily remote, providing the opportunity to work from home while supporting clients through telehealth platforms. Despite the remote nature of this role, you will be an integral part of our supportive and collaborative multidisciplinary team. Regular virtual meetings will foster communication and teamwork, ensuring that all team members stay aligned in our approach to mental health care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for detox clients, considering historical and current factors affecting their emotional and psychological well-being.
• Collaborate with each client to create tailored treatment plans focused on their recovery, integrating evidence-based interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, providing a safe space for clients to explore their emotions and develop coping strategies during detox.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges, applying de-escalation techniques and connecting them with higher levels of care when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation regarding assessments, treatment progress, and interactions in accordance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in continuous collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to optimize each client’s care plan and ensure a comprehensive treatment approach.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients regarding their mental health challenges and available community resources to foster independence and self-management.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops, training sessions, and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will focus on clients undergoing detoxification, who may be struggling with substance use disorders and related mental health issues. This population often requires sensitive and adaptable care strategies, considering both their psychological and emotional needs. Your role will support these individuals in navigating their recovery, with a strong emphasis on building trust and promoting resilience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Texas is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in mental health, preferably in detox or recovery settings.
• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and associated treatment modalities, particularly within the context of substance use.
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills to effectively address and prioritize client needs.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic practices, including individual and group therapy techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy and the ability to foster relationships with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Technical proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems is an advantage.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a detox or substance abuse treatment setting is preferred, with a proven ability to address the complexities of addiction and recovery.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles is highly desirable.
• Previous work in a remote or telehealth capacity will be beneficial to excel in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
