Key Responsibilities

As the Senior LCSW, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate the emotional, social, and financial needs of students.
• Providing individual and group counseling sessions addressing various issues such as adjustment disorders, grief, anxiety, and coping strategies.
• Coordinating with educational staff and other mental health professionals to create, implement, and monitor individualized support plans for students.
• Facilitating crisis intervention and providing immediate support to students and their families in high-stress situations.
• Collaborating with local community organizations to arrange necessary post-discharge services and ensure continuity of care following school attendance.
• Maintaining detailed and timely documentation in compliance with both legal standards and organizational policies.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and hospital committees to share your expertise in social work and contribute to improving program outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents dealing with a variety of challenges such as behavioral issues, emotional disturbances, and family dynamics. Understanding the unique backgrounds and circumstances of each student will enable you to provide culturally competent services that respect their individual needs and promote resilience.

Qualifications

To successfully fulfill the role of Senior LCSW, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Maryland.
• Strong assessment and therapeutic skills tailored to children and adolescents.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
