Position Overview

Fortuna Behavioral Health Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team on a full-time basis, working remotely. In this pivotal role, you will provide essential mental health support and interventions to individuals facing various life challenges. Your expertise will directly contribute to the wellness of clients affected by neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, mental health issues, and parental substance abuse.

Work Environment

This position is 100% remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from the comfort of your home while maintaining a full-time schedule from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs via telephone and videoconferencing, ensuring that all relevant information is collected to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide crisis intervention services to clients experiencing acute emotional distress or risk factors, utilizing evidence-based techniques to stabilize their situation.
• Facilitate referrals to community resources, agencies, and services that can further assist clients in their recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, progress, and treatment plans to inform ongoing care and support.
• Engage clients in beneficial activities and encourage participation in therapeutic programs that promote healing and resilience.
• Provide continuous support and information to clients and their families, helping them navigate the complexities of available resources.
• Attend regular training sessions, supervision, and team meetings to enhance skills and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in social work and mental health.
• Monitor for signs of child abuse or neglect, and enact protocols for reporting and referral when necessary.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As part of the Fortuna Behavioral Health Center team, you will work closely with a diverse range of clients, including adults and families facing critical life challenges. This role specifically focuses on addressing the needs of individuals affected by neglect, child abuse, domestic violence, and substance abuse, requiring a delicate balance of empathy, clinical skill, and cultural competency to effectively support our clients’ journeys towards healing.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in North Carolina.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a demonstrated ability to actively listen to clients and respond with empathy and understanding.
• Proficiency in using technology and foundational software programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to navigate complex social service systems effectively, judging the appropriateness of potential actions based on an understanding of client needs.
• Calm demeanor and ability to remain composed while working with clients in distress.

Preferred Experience

• Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable populations affected by trauma, abuse, and mental health disorders.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and ability to implement them effectively within a clinical setting.
• Experience developing and implementing detailed treatment plans for clients.
• A valid driver's license, allowing for the possibility of in-person meetings or trainings if necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

Fortuna Behavioral Health Center offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, complemented by monthly productivity bonuses designed to reward high performance.
