Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of students' emotional and behavioral challenges by gathering relevant background information and identifying treatment goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic services, including individual, couples, and family therapy using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness strategies, and narrative therapy.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans, ensuring that each student’s unique needs are met through tailored interventions.
• Regularly monitor and evaluate treatment progress, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
• Collaborate with educators, healthcare professionals, and families to create a comprehensive support system for students in need of mental health services.
• Adhere to strict confidentiality standards and ethical guidelines while maintaining compliance with legal requirements relevant to mental health practice.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and stay current with best practices and emerging trends in the field of clinical social work.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse population primarily consisting of school-aged children and adolescents, as well as their families. Your role will be crucial in identifying and addressing a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and social/emotional difficulties, helping students navigate their educational journey with enhanced support.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, treatment planning, and implementation of therapeutic interventions.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on empathy and active listening.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and following ethical principles in clinical practice.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience, ideally within a school or community-based mental health setting.
• Familiarity with school systems and the unique challenges faced by students and families in educational environments.

Compensation and Benefits

Stigma Alternative Counseling Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience, in addition to performance-based incentives. A sign-on bonus is also available to the right candidate.
