Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized psychotherapy to students with mental health concerns, specifically pertaining to substance abuse issues.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each student's needs and develop tailored treatment plans rooted in best practices.
• Administer a range of therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), effectively addressing substance abuse recovery.
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in regular collaboration with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated care for each student.
• Educate students and their families about available mental health and substance abuse resources to empower informed decision-making.
• Stay informed about current research and best practices in mental health treatment to incorporate into your therapeutic approaches.
• Manage your caseload, actively working towards treatment goals while upholding the highest ethical standards in practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents facing mental health challenges related to substance abuse. You will be tasked with understanding the complexities of their individual circumstances, providing compassionate support tailored to each student's unique environment. Our clients come from diverse backgrounds, requiring sensitivity and adaptability in your therapeutic approach.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid LCSW license in the State of Texas is mandatory.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, particularly in substance abuse therapy, is preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of solution-focused interventions and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills that foster a collaborative work environment.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of one year is required, those with additional experience in school settings or specialized training in adolescent mental health will be viewed favorably. Compensation and Benefits
