Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a full-time position at the Methodist Healthcare Center. This remote role primarily supports our Detox Center in Paterson, New Jersey. The LCSW will play a vital role in providing comprehensive mental health services to individuals navigating substance use challenges, ensuring they receive the advocacy and support necessary for their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs, identifying their unique strengths and challenges to inform treatment decisions.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing tailored to cultural contexts.
• Develop and implement detailed treatment plans that set clear goals and interventions, regularly monitoring clients’ progress and adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists and nursing staff, to ensure holistic and coordinated care for all clients.
• Provide crisis intervention services, including conducting risk assessments and creating personalized safety plans to support clients in acute distress.
• Serve as an advocate for clients’ rights, connecting them with appropriate community resources, and ensuring they receive comprehensive case management support.
• Engage actively in community outreach initiatives aimed at increasing mental health awareness and promoting access to services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse group of clients, primarily individuals experiencing substance use disorders and mental health challenges. Your efforts will directly impact their recovery journeys, enabling them to rebuild their lives and cultivate resilience. The role requires cultural competence and sensitivity to effectively engage and support clients from varying backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited university.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills crucial for client engagement and collaboration within the care team.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in community mental health settings or addiction services.
• Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention and therapeutic modalities suited to diverse clientele.
• Familiarity with telehealth delivery methods and tools to facilitate effective remote therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

Methodist Healthcare Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a robust salary, we provide:
