Empowered Essence Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Early Intervention Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) to join our innovative team. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments as part of a multidisciplinary team to evaluate clients' developmental statuses, documenting findings to inform care plans.
• Provide specialized child development services, focusing on facilitating meaningful and targeted activities that foster growth in cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development for infants and toddlers.
• Develop Individual Family Service Plans (IFSP), collaborating with families to set achievable goals and actionable strategies that promote child and family development.
• Maintain accurate documentation through comprehensive progress notes, assessments, and reports to track families’ progress and ensure continuity of care.
• Act as a service coordinator, scheduling and managing the implementation of intervention plans, ensuring compliance with necessary procedural timelines and family needs.
• Facilitate supportive interventions, both individually and in group settings, that encourage parent-child interactions and empower parents to advocate effectively for their children's development.
• Develop and strengthen family relationships by assessing familial strengths and concerns while guiding them through the intervention process.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The focus of this position is on working directly with infants, toddlers, and their families within community settings. You will address developmental delays or risks across various developmental domains including cognitive, adaptive behaviors, and communication skills. Your role is essential in providing vital support to families, helping them navigate challenges with practical advice and resources that prioritize their needs and values.

Qualifications

• A valid Licensed Independent Social Work license (LISW) is mandatory.
• An educational background with a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster meaningful, therapeutic relationships with clients and families.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities coupled with solid organizational skills.
• Proficiency in documentation and technological tools relevant to patient records and treatment plans.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries at all times.
• Must possess a current driver’s license and have reliable transportation for community visits.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with infants, toddlers, and families, ideally in a similar clinical environment.
• Knowledge or background in early childhood development theories and family systems.
• Experience in advocating for community resources and encouraging pro-active family involvement.
• Bilingual or bicultural skills are a plus, contributing to inclusive service delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Empowered Essence Counseling Center offers a competitive benefits package that includes:
