Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while making a significant impact on the lives of students. Unity Harbor Center values flexibility, and while the standard work hours primarily take place during weekdays, some evening and weekend hours may be required to accommodate the schedules of the clients we serve. This role is performed in a collaborative virtual environment alongside a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, enhancing your ability to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to gather detailed information on each student’s mental health concerns, strengths, and resources available to them.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based treatment modalities tailored to the needs of students.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that outline specific goals and therapeutic interventions for each client.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy, and trauma-focused therapy.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, psychologists, educators, and other relevant professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each student.
• Facilitate and lead group therapy sessions, psychoeducation classes, and support groups to promote mental wellness among students.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention, conduct risk assessments, and develop safety plans as necessary.
• Maintain accurate, timely, and secure documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards of practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with school-age children and adolescents, providing vital support for a range of mental health issues. The clientele is diverse, and you will encounter clients from various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Your expertise will greatly contribute to developing emotional resilience and coping strategies among these individuals.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current and active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health or outpatient setting.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and treatment approaches.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience working in a school-based setting or with children and adolescents.
• Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices.
• Experience collaborating with educational institutions and other community resources.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, which reflects both your experience and expertise in the field.
