Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility and adaptability in work-life balance while maintaining close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. Therapists will connect virtually, participate in regular team meetings, and engage with clients through telehealth platforms that are designed for confidentiality and security. The role involves a typical work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on the specific needs of our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand the individual needs and goals of clients seeking substance use disorder treatment.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans that reflect evidence-based therapeutic practices.
• Facilitate individual counseling sessions using proven techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).
• Lead group therapy sessions for individuals at various stages of recovery, fostering a supportive and encouraging environment.
• Collaborate seamlessly with psychiatrists, addiction medicine specialists, and other healthcare professionals to promote an integrated treatment approach.
• Provide crisis intervention services as necessary during substance-related emergencies, ensuring immediate support and care.
• Educate clients and their families on addiction, available recovery resources, and sustainable recovery strategies to empower and support their journey.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in team meetings and case consultations to promote shared learning and ongoing professional development.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements and best practices in the field of substance use disorder treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele will include diverse individuals ranging from adolescents to adults who are grappling with various forms of substance use disorders. Our therapeutic interventions not only address addiction but also consider the holistic wellness of clients, integrating mental health support and community resources to enhance their recovery trajectories.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.
• Deep knowledge of substance use disorders and proficiency in evidence-based treatment modalities and recovery-oriented care.
• Significant experience providing both individual and group therapy specifically within the context of addiction treatment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, complemented by a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
• Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries while ensuring patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications.
• Capability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team to achieve collective goals.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a remote work environment is preferred, demonstrating adaptability to virtual interaction.
• Experience with specialized populations focusing on co-occurring disorders or trauma-informed care.
• Evidence of continuous professional development and active participation in workshops or training programs related to addiction therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, complemented by performance-based bonuses. Additionally, new hires may qualify for a sign-on bonus.
