Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in our detox center, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients, focusing on emotional and behavioral issues associated with substance use and recovery.
• Maintaining clear and accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with organizational policies.
• Engaging in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient progress and collaborate on treatment planning, ensuring all relevant factors are considered in the care process.
• Conducting psychosocial assessments to identify client needs, strengths, and areas for growth, leading to tailored interventions that promote healing.
• Offering crisis intervention services and support to clients experiencing acute emotional distress, ensuring immediate needs are addressed effectively.
• Consulting and coordinating with families and support systems to create a robust support network for clients, enhancing their treatment experience and recovery outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will primarily focus on supporting adults undergoing detoxification and early stages of recovery from substance use disorders. You will work closely with individuals facing various challenges, including mental health issues, trauma, and a history of substance dependence. The compassionate approach you bring to care will be essential in helping clients navigate their recovery path and achieve lasting change.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work or Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted state licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington.
• A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient mental health setting, with direct work in substance use treatment preferred.
• Proven proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, along with strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• The ability to work autonomously while effectively managing time and priorities to meet client needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a detox or rehabilitation center, specifically with individuals dealing with addictive behaviors.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and intervention strategies within addiction treatment.

Compensation and Benefits
