Clinical Social Worker - Remote Detox Center Specialist

Grand Central Wellness & Psychiatry is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) to join our dedicated team in providing exceptional therapy services to clients at our Detox Center. Key Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to relay patient progress, needs, and any potential concerns that arise during treatment.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, ensuring all patient records, including assessments and progress notes, are completed in alignment with organizational policies.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients in distress, utilizing therapeutic techniques to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of clients' mental health and substance use issues, adjusting treatment plans collaboratively based on documentation of progress and emerging needs.
• Engage with patients’ families and support systems to facilitate comprehensive discharge planning and follow-up care, fostering a holistic approach to recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals undergoing detoxification and early recovery phases, many confronting co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. You will play a vital role in crafting individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client. Your therapeutic interventions will directly impact their recovery journey, promoting emotional and psychological resilience.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field is required.
• Current, active licensure as an LICSW in the state of Washington, or equivalent licensure.
• A minimum of three years of experience in an outpatient setting, specifically working with substance use disorders or mental health.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a diverse caseload efficiently; self-direction and strong organizational skills are essential.
• Proficient in utilizing digital tools including electronic medical records systems, word processing, email, and spreadsheets.

Preferred Experience

Experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic models related to addiction and mental health will be highly valued. A background in group therapy and individual therapy techniques tailored to substance use treatment is a plus.
