Work Environment

This position is primarily remote, allowing for effective support while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The role is designed to accommodate school-based therapy practices, providing the flexibility needed to connect with clients on their terms. While the core work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, some evening or weekend hours may be required based on the needs of students and families, allowing for a responsive and adaptive approach to service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify the emotional, social, and behavioral needs of students.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to develop individualized care plans aimed at addressing each student's specific challenges and goals.
• Provide ongoing counseling and therapeutic support, utilizing evidence-based techniques to help students navigate personal and academic transitions.
• Work with families to facilitate access to community resources and services, advocating for their rights and ensuring they receive appropriate assistance.
• Document all interactions and interventions accurately in compliance with organizational policies and state regulations, ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards are upheld.
• Participate in professional development initiatives and team meetings to enhance collaboration and share best practices in school-based mental health services.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses on supporting students from diverse backgrounds, particularly those facing emotional and behavioral challenges. The emphasis is on understanding the unique contexts students live in, including home life, peer relationships, and academic pressures. The goal is to cultivate a trusting relationship that empowers students to express their feelings and develop coping strategies, ultimately enhancing their overall educational experience.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• A minimum of two years of experience in social work, preferably in educational settings or mental health services for children and adolescents.
• Strong understanding of social work principles, mental health diagnoses, and developmental psychology.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with students, families, and school professionals.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in crisis intervention and conflict resolution techniques within a school environment.
• Familiarity with educational systems and regulations governing student mental health services.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and care coordination.

Compensation and Benefits
