Work Environment

This position operates remotely with a focus on serving a school-based client population. You will engage with students, parents, and staff to create supportive mental health programs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments for students, identifying their mental health needs and potential barriers to learning.
• Develop personalized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based interventions, tailoring your approaches to meet the unique needs of each student.
• Administer therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and other modalities, promoting students’ emotional and psychological well-being.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of clinical records, ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and organizational standards.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of educators, psychologists, and mental health professionals to coordinate care for students and their families.
• Facilitate family support sessions and psychoeducation workshops to promote awareness around mental health and available resources.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through case consultations, workshops, and review meetings to enhance your clinical practice and ensure that the highest standards of care are met.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our LMSW will focus primarily on school-aged children and adolescents, offering therapeutic support to a diverse range of students coming from various backgrounds. You will address issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral problems, and social challenges, helping to create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters academic success and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid license to practice as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, particularly in providing psychotherapy services to children and adolescents.
• Sound knowledge of solution-focused interventions and techniques, with the ability to implement them effectively in a school setting.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to connect with students, families, and colleagues with empathy and respect.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within educational settings or with school mental health programs.
• Familiarity with the rules and regulations governing special education and mental health services in schools.

Compensation and Benefits
