Work Environment

This role will be performed in a remote format, allowing you to deliver services via teletherapy to students. You will engage with children and adolescents in various educational settings, working closely with school administrators and educators to foster a supportive environment for mental health. While your primary interaction will be virtual, periodic in-person collaboration may occur to enhance interdisciplinary communication and community ties.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide psychotherapy and mental health counseling to students dealing with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
• Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of students' mental, emotional, and social functioning to understand their challenges and strengths.
• Treatment Planning: Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based methodologies and cultural competencies tailored to meet each student's unique needs.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work alongside psychologists, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student care and success.
• Monitoring Progress: Regularly evaluate students' responses to treatment and adjust plans as necessary based on their progress and feedback.
• Parent and Family Support: Educate and guide families on mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources.
• Ethical Practices: Ensure adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality requirements in all patient interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents who are experiencing mental health challenges. You will have the opportunity to engage with diverse populations, understanding the various factors that contribute to each student's situation. The role emphasizes not only direct patient care but also advocacy and support within their educational environments, helping students overcome barriers to their success.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in providing mental health services, particularly in school settings or with adolescent populations.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students and collaborate effectively with families and educational staff.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, with the capacity to create evidence-based treatment plans suited to individual needs.
• Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) for managing patient information and care coordination.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in school systems, understanding the academic pressures students face and how mental health impacts their learning.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $105,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
