Work Environment

This is a remote work opportunity designed for individuals who are passionate about mental health and education. As a provider in a virtual setting, you will communicate with clients primarily through telehealth technology. Your interaction with students and staff will be integral to creating effective treatment plans, and you will have the flexibility to develop schedules that accommodate families' needs, which can include evening and weekend hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychosocial evaluations to identify clients’ mental health needs, strengths, and resources, thus ensuring a strong foundation for effective treatment.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing established evidence-based treatment modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Develop and implement comprehensive, individualized treatment plans that incorporate client goals, therapeutic interventions, and measurable outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and educational professionals to deliver coordinated, client-centered care within the school environment.
• Engage in crisis assessments and interventions where necessary, ensuring safety planning is in place for high-risk clients.
• Maintain precise documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring that client records accurately reflect treatment and progress.
• Facilitate group therapy and psychoeducational sessions, providing valuable resources and support for students dealing with mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on supporting the mental health needs of students from diverse backgrounds. The client population attends local schools in the San Diego area and may present with a range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, behavioral issues, and trauma. You will play a crucial role in normalizing mental health discussions and developing strategies that promote resilience among students, thereby enhancing their academic performance and personal growth.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and unrestricted state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is essential.
• A minimum of two years of experience working in a mental health or outpatient environment, demonstrating your ability to support diverse populations.

Compensation and Benefits
