Work Environment

This position is remote, allowing for flexibility in scheduling while primarily focusing on school-aged clients. As an LCSW, you will work collaboratively with school staff, educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to create a cohesive support system for students. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed psychosocial assessments to evaluate students’ emotional, social, and mental health needs, utilizing standardized tools and methods.
• Provide individual therapy sessions, focusing on evidence-based practices such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), tailored to the student’s specific challenges.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions in a school setting to address common student concerns such as anxiety, social skills deficits, and adjustment issues.
• Work closely with educators and school administration to identify at-risk students and develop proactive intervention strategies.
• Utilize collaboration tools and electronic health record systems to maintain accurate documentation of each session, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with all ethical and legal standards.
• Provide crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning for at-risk students and conduct follow-ups to ensure their safety and well-being.
• Lead psychoeducational workshops for students, parents, and school staff, addressing topics such as mental health awareness, coping strategies, and resilience-building.
• Establish strong rapport with students, parents, and school staff, fostering a trusting environment conducive to healing and growth.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on students in the school system, ensuring you address a range of mental health concerns prevalent among this demographic, including anxiety disorders, depression, trauma-related issues, and behavioral challenges. With your expertise, you will help students build coping mechanisms and develop emotional intelligence, both critical for their academic and personal success.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, preferably within a school-based environment.
• Proficient in various evidence-based therapeutic approaches and strong knowledge of mental health diagnoses.
• Exceptional interpersonal communication and assessment skills, enabling effective engagement with students, parents, and school personnel.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working directly within a school-based mental health program or collaborating with educational institutions to support student mental health.
• Familiarity with remote work technologies, telehealth platforms, and electronic documentation systems.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and facilitate psychoeducational programs that enhance mental health literacy within school communities.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, with an annual compensation between USD 80,000 and 100,000, complemented by a sign-on bonus.
