Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Remote School-Based Role

Path Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity, focused on supporting students and families in an educational environment. Work Environment

The position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while remaining a vital part of our school-based outreach team. You will engage with clients through virtual platforms, conducting sessions and consultations that foster connections and support. Regular business hours are established, but you may need to accommodate occasional evenings or weekends based on the needs of your clients and program activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough social, emotional, and environmental assessments to identify the needs and challenges faced by students and their families.
• Develop individualized service plans that outline specific therapeutic goals, interventions, and measurable progress indicators for each client.
• Provide empathetic counseling sessions to students experiencing a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, familial stress, and other life challenges.
• Engage clients collaboratively in the creation of personalized goals and empower them by connecting them with essential community resources.
• Facilitate crisis intervention strategies, risk assessments, and safety planning to ensure the emotional well-being of your clients is prioritized.
• Establish strong, professional relationships with community agencies and organizations to effectively coordinate services and advocate for clients.
• Participate actively in community outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness of mental health issues and promoting the resources offered by Path Counseling Center.
• Engage in regular case conferences, team meetings, and ongoing professional development through staff training sessions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on students within the school system, aiming to provide critical mental health support in a familiar environment. You will work closely with children, adolescents, and their families, navigating diverse challenges such as stress, academic pressure, and personal hardships. By prioritizing a trauma-informed approach, you will create a safe space, empowering clients to express their needs and collaborate on their journeys toward mental wellness.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Connecticut.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health issues specific to children and adolescents, including relevant therapeutic methods and techniques.
• Exceptional communication skills, along with cultural competence, to effectively engage with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within a school environment, providing counseling and support to students.
• Familiarity with community resources available to support mental health and social services.
• Proficiency in trauma-informed care and practices, as well as a foundation in social and economic justice issues.

Compensation and Benefits
