Aurora Wellness Counseling, LLC is seeking a dedicated Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) to support our mission of providing compassionate mental health services within a remote hospice center setting. Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain meaningful, trusting relationships with clients, creating a confidential and supportive space for them to express their thoughts and feelings.

• Utilize active listening and an empathetic approach that ensures clients feel understood and validated throughout their therapeutic journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with individuals and families navigating end-of-life care and related emotional complexities. The client population will encompass diverse backgrounds, experiences, and cultural contexts, enriching your counseling practice and requiring cultural competence and sensitivity.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree in Social Work or a closely associated field is a mandatory requirement.
• Valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPCC) licensure is essential for your application.
• At least two years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Counselor is required, with a preference for candidates who have a minimum of five years in the field.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, are vital to effectively engage with clients and collaborate with team members.
• Proficiency in technological tools, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, is necessary for your documentation and documentation-related tasks.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in hospice or palliative care settings is highly preferred, as it provides context for understanding the unique challenges faced by our patients.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling practices is a plus, equipping you to provide services online.
